Perimeter Edge Protection Services In
Wood Railings
Strongly recommended on concrete construction (vs. our cable system), our OSHA compliant perimeter wood railing system uses 2x4 lumber for top-rail and mid-rail, with 1x4 lumber used as a toe board. Our proprietary quick-fit system allows our safety crew to work swiftly with other trades in providing controlled access to the leading edge. Safety Guys® employs its quick-fit system whereby vertical posts are easily inserted and removed to allow other trades (e.g., window installers, masons, etc.) to do their work without damaging or removing an entire section of railing and jeopardizing safety.
Typically, orange debris netting is attached to the railing for extra protection to minimize loose debris from blowing off the building.
All materials will be recycled to the upper floors where needed when permanent edge work is completed.
Cable Railings
While typically used in steel construction, aircraft cable (3/8") can also be used as perimeter protection, along with our engineered orange debris netting to control debris from falling off the building.
